They have powerful, heavily armed starships. They first encountered the Borg approximately four years prior to Stardate 52356.2. Since that time, 11 billion individuals have been assimilated. They created an artificial virus and infected 13 of their people, who were subsequently assimilated by the Borg, in order to infect the Borg with the virus and spread the contagion to other Borg ships. |
