Production Number: 006 Original Air Date: 10-24-01 Stardates: ~ Synopsis: The Enterprise goes to investigate the lost Terra Nova colony, the first Earth settlement outside the Solar system. Contact was lost with the colony over seventy years ago. When Captain Archer leads a landing party to the planet, they find the descendants of the original colonists living underground in caverns beneath the abandoned colony. The "Novan" descendants believe that humans from Earth poisoned their surface colony with radiation, but T'Pol discovers that an asteroid containing beresium ore hit the planet nearly seventy years ago, creating a radioactive cloud. When Archer learns that the radiation is contaminating the underground water supply, he decides to relocate the colonists to another part of the planet that is not contaminated, but he must first convince the Novans to trust him.
