Synopsis: After two months without Starfleet contact from the Midas array, the Voyager receives a transmission of a holographic Lt. Reginald Barclay, who convinces the crew that Starfleet has discovered a way to bring them home.

On Earth, at Starfleet Command's Pathfinder project, the real Lt. Barclay learns that for the second month in a row, his transmission of a hologram has been intercepted by a Ferengi ship and replaced with one programmed to steal Seven of Nine's Borg nanoprobes and deliver the valuable technology to the Ferengi in the Alpha Quadrant.
