Production Number: 015 Original Air Date: 01-30-02 Stardates: ~ Synopsis: Lt. Reed is teaching Ensign Sato to use a phase pistol, when the Enterprise reaches a star system with a Class Nine gas giant planet. A disabled alien ship is detected inside the gas giant's atmosphere, and T'Pol, Reed, and Sato take a shuttlepod down to investigate. When they enter the ship, they learn that the crew is Klingon, unconscious from a neurotoxin ingested in Xarantine ale after raiding a Xarantine outpost. A Klingon engineer, Officer Bu'kaH, takes the shuttlepod, stranding the Enterprise officers on the sinking Raptor, but she is captured by the Enterprise. Dr. Phlox treats the Klingon woman for the Xarantine neurotoxin, and Captain Archer asks for her help in recovering her ship and the Enterprise crew members before the ship is crushed in the planet's atmosphere.
