Synopsis: The crew of the Enterprise NX-01 returns to Earth, and Captain Archer is debriefed by Starfleet Command about the Xindi mission. While the Enterprise is refit and repaired, Archer's friend, Captain Erika Hernandez, gives him a tour of Starfleet's new warp-five ship, the Columbia NX-02. Admiral Forrest orders Archer to take some time off, and Archer goes rock climbing with Captain Hernandez.

T'Pol invites Commander Tucker to visit her mother's house on Vulcan. T'Pol learns that her mother, T'Les, was forced to resign from her job as an instructor at the Science Academy following the incident at P'Jem, for which Vulcan authorities blame T'Pol. Koss, T'Pol's fiancé in a traditional arranged marriage, visits and tells T'Pol that his father, a senior minister, could reinstate her mother if T'Pol marries him. T'Pol agrees to marry Koss, with the agreement that she may continue to work aboard the Enterprise.
